I am pretty new to “CVS-ing” but wanted to take advantage of a $4 off $20 purchase coupon that CVS e-mailed me (set to expire tomorrow on Easter) and some other great deals (mainly diapers and Johnson & Johnson bath/baby products) so I headed out to do my first ECB (Extra Care Bucks) transaction. Yippee!
Here’s what I bought in two separate transactions
First I bought the Skintimate Extra Gentle Moisturizing Cream (6 oz) that was on sale for $3.49. Upon payment a $3.49 ECB printed off for me to use in a future purchase!
For my second transaction I took advantage of their Huggies/J&J promo and bought a Jumbo pack of Pull-ups on sale for $10.00 matched with a $2.00 Manufacturer’s coupon, and 5 Johnson & Johnson baby/bath products that were on sale for $3 each and matched that with five $1.00 Manufacturer’s Printable Coupons.
At check out I used these coupons plus the $4.00 off CVS email coupon and my $3.49 ECB from my first transaction. I paid $10.51 plus tax for OOP (out-of-pocket).
On this transaction I earned $10 ECB for a $25 purchase of applicable Huggies/J&J products.
So if I include my $10 ECB which I’ll use in a future purchase, I spent under $2 on all this great baby stuff!
In the future I’m hoping to do transactions that are smaller OOP purchases and maybe even try to participate in “Cents”able Momma’s CVS $5 challenge, where the goal is to come up with up to 3 scenarios where the total spent out of pocket is $5, while still growing your ECB’s.
I’m looking forward to more CVS trips utilizing my ECB’s!
