Free or Cheap Chicken Deal At Bloom That You Can Roll During Triple Coupon Week!

**UPDATE It seems this sweet deal may not be available anymore.  See longer explanation at bottom**

As you know, I’ve been excited about Bloom’s triple coupon event for the week of June 24-30, 2009.
I detailed out my first shopping trip a few days ago and how I got some incredible savings (almost 90%) with coupons.

I just today opened up my Perdue Perfect Portions Chicken Package and found inside the following…

Bloom Triple Coupons - Perdue Perfect Portions Deal-1

Bloom Triple Coupons - Perdue Perfect Portions Deal-2

That’s right, another $0.75 coupon!
There are some Perdue Perfect Portions packages marked down to $2.25 (look for an orange sticker with the reduced price).  So if you buy a package for $2.25 and see a coupon inside (the packaging has portions that are clear and you should see a small packet with paper inside), you can roll this deal and keep buying free chicken, if you return every day with your new $0.75 coupon!

Jennifer reported that at her Bloom store, only some of the Perdue Perfect Portions were marked down to $3.14 (instead of $2.25) but even with that pricing, you can score some chicken for $0.89 (or $0.59 per lb. since each perfect portions package holds approximately 1.5 lb. of chicken breast meat).  Woo hoo for a great meat deal and for Perdue for including $0.75 coupons in their Perfect Portion packages!

**UPDATE: Check your local Bloom store to see if your Perdue Chicken Breasts are heavily discounted.  Unfortunately when I returned on Mon. 6/29/09 to one of the Manassas stores, the Perfect Portions were originally priced $8.99 and marked down to $5.39 (not $2.25 anymore).  Minus the $0.75 (tripled) coupon that brings the price down to $3.14 for 1.5 lb., or $2.09 per lb.  For me, my “stock-up” price tends to be around the $1.99 per lb. price for boneless chicken breasts, so for $2.09 price I wasn’t as enticed to buy.  Also, I did not see any packages (out of the 4 I looked at quickly while my toddler was starting to act naughty) with the coupon inside on this trip… apparently some packages have them, and some don’t.  It seems this sweet deal may have been due to an unusually high meat discount at the Fair Lakes (Fairfax, VA) Bloom Store over a one or two day period.  If anyone finds the Perdue Perfect Portions at a really good discount, or if you found the coupon inside your package, please let me know!**
