Manassas Super Walmart Has Great Chicken Sale Right Now!

My friend Leslie sent me a text message this evening about a great chicken sale at the new Super Walmart in Manassas, VA. I haven’t been able to make it out this evening, but called the store and spoke with someone in their meat department to confirm the sale and get a little more info.

Right now they have an overstock of boneless chicken breasts in the large packs. To get rid of their abundance of chicken they are selling them for only $0.99 per lb! That is an amazing price for boneless chicken breasts (especially non-frozen). My stock-up price is usually around the $1.99 mark and I rarely ever see boneless chicken breasts on sale for less than a dollar per pound.

**UPDATE: AS OF 10:00 AM THURS. 12/17/09 THEY HAVE COMPLETELY SOLD OUT OF THE $0.99 PER LB BONELESS CHICKEN BREASTS. THOSE WENT FAST! HOWEVER, THEY CURRENTLY HAVE A “CHICKEN VALUE PACK” WHICH INCLUDES 2 SPLIT CHICKEN BREASTS W/ RIBS, 4 CHICKEN THIGHS, AND 2 CHICKEN BACKS ON SALE FOR $0.69 PER LB**

The Super Walmart in Manassas is open from 6 am – 12 am. The Walmart employee I spoke with suggested getting to the store sooner rather than later for this deal, since it will only last as long as their supply lasts.
