My Super Walmart Trip This Week

I headed over to the Manassas Wal-Mart Super Center for groceries on Monday. Here’s what I got for $18.27 (really $13.27 if you include the $5 mail-in rebate for the SC Johnson items):

Great Value Apple Juice (3 Qt. or 96 FL. OZ.) $1.97

Great Value Fat Free Milk (1 Gallon) $2.47

International Delights Coffee Creamer, pint size $1.58 x 2 = $3.16
– $1/2 International Delight Pints SS 11/08/09
= $1.08 each

Chef’s Request Beef Filets $3.28
$3 Printable Coupon that still appears to be available
= $0.28

Plumrose baked ham lunch meat $2.50 (not a great price, but I was all out)

LA Looks Hair Gel $1.94
– $1 off coupon SS 10/04/09
= $0.94

Glade 4 oz. Candle $2.25 x 4 = $9
– (2) $1.50/2 Printables (I think I got these from Right@Home but am not sure; this coupon does not appear to be available anymore)
$5 Mail-in Rebate wyb 3 qualifying items
= $0.25 each after Rebate

Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Condensed Soup $0.58 x 2
– $1 off 2 cans Campbell’s Cooking Soup Printable (no longer available)
= $0.08 each

Campbell’s Cream of Chicken Condensed Soup $0.58 x 2
– $1/2 cans Campbell’s Cooking Soup Printable (no longer available)
= $0.08 each

Bakery Item on Clearance: French Bread Loaf (16 oz.) $0.90

Home Bake Value Wheat Sliced Bread (18 oz.) $0.75

I noticed quite a few clearance bakery items (with expiration dates of that day) including rolls, french bread and even a cake (marked down from $14 to $4… my 3-year old tried to convince me that we needed to buy the cake, and I tried to explain that we should leave it for someone who is having a party and can really use (and eat an entire) cake!  I’m not sure if every Monday is bakery clearance day or if it just happened to be while we were there because it was the last day of the month.  Most of those items were actually in the back of the store by the milk and refrigerated case.
