Bloom in the News in Northern Virginia

I recently read an article entitled “Bloom Adds to Fairfax Footprint” from the Fairfax County Times, written by Gregg MacDonald. You can read the article in its entirety here.

It was interesting to read about the newest Bloom in Annandale opening its doors (in a former Magruder’s grocery store location) and closing its doors (Feb. 3rd) at their Ashburn, VA location which wasn’t getting a lot of traffic.

The new store in Annandale reportedly has some new technology to help ease your shopping experience:

The store makes use of the latest interactive technology to enable shoppers to use four large touch-screens located throughout the store to find products, derive nutritional information, suggest recipes and wine pairings, and impart other helpful product information.

On a related note, the new Bloom in Annandale has some Grand Opening Specials this week (Wed. 1/27/10 – Tues. 2/2/10):

  • 1 lb. Package of Strawberries 3/$5
  • Value Pack Ground Chuck $1.77 per lb. (you save $1.72 per lb)
  • Select Varieties French Bread. $0.99 each (you save $1.50)
  • Nabisco Chips Ahoy! 14-16 oz. select varieties on Sale Buy One Get One Free (regular price $3.99 each). Limit 2 Free.

If you’ve been to the new Bloom store, please leave a comment and let me know what you thought of it!
