Thanks to the Redemption Unlimited Ladies for alerting all of us local DC metro folks about select Shoppers Food stores holding a Triple/Double Coupon event! The special promotion runs from Wed. August 18, 2010 (yesterday) through next Wed. August 25, 2010. Eight crazy days!
Good news: in researching, it appears that ALL Northern Virginia & Maryland stores are participating in this special coupon promotion (Maryland folks didn’t get left out this time, like they did during the last Triple/Double coupon promo in April).
As in the past, this promo includes:
- TRIPLING all manufacturer coupons up to and including $0.50 in face value (that means your $0.50 coupon = $1.50 off at the register!)
- DOUBLING all manufacturer coupons from $0.51 up to and including $1.00 in face value (that means your $1 coupon = $2 off at the register!)
- Limit of four (4) identical coupons. No other restrictions apply

Hey Laura – how do I go about finding Shoppers coupons? I’m a Shoppers shopper so I wanted to see how I could find their coupons. Thanks !
Hi Jenny,
Thanks for the comment! For the Shoppers Triple/Double Coupon promotion this week they will triple manufacturer coupons up to $0.50, and double manufacturer coupons from $0.51 to $1 in face value. Their everyday coupon policy involves automatically doubling manufacturer coupons up to $0.99 in face value, so this promotion is really a good time to see how far your $0.50 coupons can go when tripled and your $1 coupons can go when doubled.
Shoppers Food has some “store coupons” but they are typically in the circulars (which can be found near the front of the store, and some of us receive them in the mail weekly) or in special store coupon booklets (typically located at the customer service desk in your store, although they don’t always have these available/issued). Store coupons (with the store logo on them that do not read “manufacturer coupon” and the coupon code does not begin with a “5″ or a “9″) do not double or triple.
I get my manufacturer coupons from newspapers like the Washington Post, Fairfax County Times, Gainesville Times and Prince William Pulse. Check out this post for other newspapers in our area that carry coupon inserts. Also, I print manufacturer coupons from Coupons.com, Redplum.com and SmartSource.com.
Hopefully that answered your question!
Laura
