Sad news for those of you that shop at Shoppers Food: they are closing down 5 stores here in the DC metro area.
The stores that will be closing are:
- 6228 N. Kings Hwy, Alexandria, VA
- 1320 Carl D. Silver Pkwy, Fredericksburg, VA
- 7471 Somerset Crossing Dr. Gainesville, VA
- 11120 Reistertown Rd, Owings Mills, MD
- 2430 Broad Ave, Timonium, MD
You can currently find steep discounts (50% and more) at these stores as they prepare to shut down. From what I’ve heard, many have already been picked through quite well and some of the stores will only be open through the end of this month.

Good riddance. They got rid of the pharmacy at their Sterling store. Wegman’s is cheaper.
