I’m new to the couponing world and I’ve just been collecting coupons for weeks. I’m ready to go venture out now and I’m waiting for a store to double coupons. Look like I JUST missed a bunch of doubling deals….are there anymore coming up and are they always advertised in the ads in the newspapers, or can I find out ahead of time online?

Thanks for the comment and welcome to the DC metro area! The abreviations I use are: SS=Smart Source insert; RP= Redplum Insert; PG= Hi Tiffany,

Thanks for the comment and I’m glad to hear that you’ve been collecting coupons and are getting ready to use them!
The main stores (Bloom, Giant, Harris Teeter, Safeway, Shoppers, Wegmans) double manufacturer coupons up to $0.99 in face value everyday. A few stores (Bloom & Harris Teeter) have regularly been holding “Super Doubles” where they double coupons up to $1.98 or $1.99 in face value, one day or one week a month. Giant has also had special “Dollar Doubler” store coupons on occasion that would double any manufacturer coupon $1.00 in face value.

I’m thinking that Harris Teeter should have another Super Doubles coming up in the next month or two, and I suspect that Bloom will have Super Doubles on the 1st of the month if they follow their current pattern. It should be advertised in their circular, and I will announce it on my blog, when I hear of big coupon events on the horizon.

But you don’t have to wait to use your coupons on these Super Double Coupon events. Keep a look-out on my blog for the best Giant deals and highlights of weekly deals from other local stores.
Thanks,
Laura
