I never knew that Trader Joe’s allows coupons! Yay! Do you know where to get their coupon policy?
And do you know if Whole Foods accepts manus not from their newletter?
Thank you!
Hi Patricia,
Yes, Trader Joe’s accepts manufacturer coupons, but they do not issue any coupons for their signature TJ brand items. The coupon policy is not online, but 4 months ago I emailed their customer service asking for specific verbiage of their coupon acceptance and here’s the response I got on Feb. 8, 2011:
“…We want our customers to have hassle free shopping experiences without worrying to remember to bring their club cards and coupons. So we sell all our products at the lowest possible prices everyday and do not offer coupons for the Trader Joe’s brand. We do accept all manufacturer’s for branded products, but do not double coupons.
Sincerely,
Amy

To answer your other question: Yes, Whole Foods accepts manufacturer coupons (even those not from their “The Whole Deal” newsletter or online here: wholefoodsmarket.com/coupons) but they only allow one coupon per item (no “stacking” or using a store coupon plus a manufacturer coupon on the same 1 item). Whole Foods does not have an “official” coupon policy online, so it can vary by store/manager, but from my experience it is pretty uniform across the DC-metro.
