Savvy shoppers know that spring is the time to consign!

With two young children, I’ve enjoyed consignment sale shopping over the years and saving lots of money on kids clothes that will be worn and outgrown quickly. Here in the DC area, I’ve found we have so many different sales to choose from! If you’re new to consignment sale shopping or want to find where the best local ones are, be sure to check out the “Our Kids” resource page here, listing out all the sales in our area.

My friend Liz from Frugally Blonde reminded me about the upcoming Catholic Consignments sale this weekend, Sat. March 17th in Ashburn. I have personally attended this sale in previous years and have had success finding items for my son (and I need to go find some items for my daughter now!).  Unlike a lot of sales in the DC area, this consignment sale is not-for-profit and all money goes toward their Divine Mercy Outreach, which benefits needy families in the community.

Here’s the info on the sale this weekend:

Date: Saturday, March 17th, 2012 (St. Patrick’s Day!)
Location: St. Theresa’s Catholic School (21371 St. Theresa Lane, Ashburn, VA 20147)
Early Shopping Sale: 7:30am (see below to win a chance to shop at this time!)
Public Sale: 8:00-11:30am
Half Price Sale: Noon-1:30pm
Dollar Dash: 3:30-4:30pm

The kind folks at Catholic Consignments want to invite you to come and shop for great deals on children’s clothing this St. Patrick’s Day! Plus they want to giveaway a free early-shopping pass to one Beltway Bargain Mom reader! So you’ll be able to shop as early as 7:30am to snag the deals bright and early in the morning before they open for the general public. This is a great time to get lightly-used strollers and other gear that tends to sell out quickly!
