New TJ Maxx Store in DC – 1,000th Store Opening

T.J.Maxx is opening of its 1,000th store today, Wed. April 25th, 2012! Good news for all of us frugal fashionistas in our nation’s Capital: The newest store will be located in downtown Washington DC (601 13th St, NW, Washington, D.C. 20005)!

At the new location, Washingtonians can find the exact same designer and brand name merchandise currently available at department and specialty stores, for 20-60% less! Scoop up the hottest fashions for the entire family, in addition to home décor, jewelry, beauty and pet products, toys and more.

The new store will feature an easy-to-shop layout with bright and spacious dressing rooms and a single-line queue for faster checkout.

Marking the grand opening there will be festivities today starting at 7:00 a.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a $300,000 donation to long-standing charity partner, Save the Children’s US Programs.  The store officially opens for business at 8:00 am, and the first 1,000 customers will receive a complimentary reusable bag.

Normal store hours for the newest DC store will run:

• 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday
• 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sundays
