Disney On Ice Treasure Trove in DC this Weekend

This weekend the popular Disney On Ice show is back in Washington DC! Disney on Ice Treasure Trove is a musical medley of Disney classics features over 50 of your favorite Disney characters.

My family got to enjoy the opening night performance last night and we had a blast! The show was fantastic and there were sparks on stage…literally! (during Tinkerbell’s entrance and for Aladdin!).

My two year old has more recently become obsessed enamored with Mickey Mouse and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show, so she was thrilled to see Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy come out near the beginning of the show and reappear in between some scenes. And, I’ll even admit, she cried each time Mickey left the rink, but thankfully the crying stopped somewhat quickly with the next exciting scene and new characters took the ice.

Other memorable moments were Aladdin & Jasmine flying on their magic carpet ride, Peter Pan flying in to the rink, the Lion King’s Circle of Life, the colorful glow-in-the-dark aquatic costumes in the Little Mermaid, and the Queen of Hearts beckoning forth her Army of Cards! The entire show was filled with our favorite Disney songs and characters, colorful costumes and artistic choreography. I highly recommend it for you and your family, if you’re looking for a fun activity this weekend.
