Tomorrow kicks off the Mosaic District’s annual Fashion Week! Get ready to fall into fashion, with many free, fun events like the Fall Collections Debut, Runway Replays & Yoga!
As I’ve shared before, the Mosaic District is one of the hottest urban retail developments in Northern Virginia. Over the past year they’ve been recognized with 22 “Best of Shopping” with a unique collection of 30+ shops, local fashion boutiques and restaurants, along with premier national retailers and Angelika Film Center. If you’re a fashionista, you’ll definitely want to check out their Fashion Week events!

- Wednesday, September 25, 2013 – Mosaic Fall Collections Debut
Experience the retail at Mosaic. New fall collections will be featured in the stores and a window display contest will take place where shoppers can vote for their favorite fall fashion window display through Facebook.
- Thursday, September 26, 2013 – RJ Cooper’s Urban Table Dinner
James Beard award-winning Chef RJ Cooper will host Urban Table, an exclusive pop-up dining experience in Strawberry Park (near the Angelika Film Center). Chef Cooper will be opening Gypsy Soul at Mosaic early next year. Join Chef Cooper at Mosaic for a dining journey featuring his unique flavors and style. Cocktails by Cheftender Bryan Tetorakis will begin at 7PM followed by a 4-course, family-style dinner. Chef’s Table seating tickets are $200 per person and general seating is $150 per person. Guests are asked to bring their own plate that is symbolic to them.
- Friday, September 27, 2013 – Angelika’s Mademoiselle C Premiere
Angelika Film Center & Café has the exclusive Washington DC premier of the new film, Mademoiselle C. This red carpet premier event of the fashion documentary chronicles the launch of Carine Roitfeld’s new magazine, CR Fashion Book. The film gives a rare inside glimpse at the inner workings of Roitfeld’s professional life at French Vogue for a decade plus becoming one of fashion’s most influential movers, plus her personal life. Her circle of friends includes renowned designers and fashion industry insiders Donatella Versace, Tom Ford, Karl Lagerfeld, Mario Testino, Riccardo Tisci, Diane Von Furstenberg and Alexander Wang. Angelika Film Center & Café is the only movie theater in the DC/Virginia area that will show Mademoiselle C.
- Saturday, September 28, 2013 – Runway Replay
Open to the public, Mosaic will broadcast the best shows from New York Fashion Week (September 5-12, 2013) on “Lucy” – A 22- by 38-foot LED screen mounted on the front of the theater building that overlooks Strawberry Park – from 4-7PM. Retailers will also be featuring their fall collections throughout the day.
- Sunday, September 29, 2013 – Yoga Brunch
Yoga In The Park, a free yoga class in Strawberry Park, will take place from 9-10AM followed by an apparel trunk show, brunch specials at various restaurants and more.
