The 64-horse & 49-artist show has made quite a splash here near our nation’s capital, and has extended their DC stay by adding additional performances now through November 17th. Who will love Cavalia Odysseo? Horse lovers, children, theatrical arts enthusiasts, and entire families will be entertained and amazed by the horses, acrobats, music, lighting and amazing skills and artistry displayed.
My family and I had the opportunity to go see Cavalia Odysseo this past weekend and we had a great time. From the moment we arrived at the White Big Top, we knew we were in for a treat. The show ran a total of 2.5 hours, which included a 30 minute intermission. But it was a truly unique experience. I was impressed – even though it took me about 20 minutes to realize – that all the instrumentals and singing is performed live. When you’re watching the horses, performers and acrobats on stage you’re focusing on them, and the smooth melodies of violin, flute, bass, drums and others in the background are thought to be pre-recorded. But then you see the musicians up high off to the side of the stage in a “sky box” and realize that not only is the choreography and stunt work performed live, so is the mesmerizing music.
My children (3 and 7) enjoyed the equestrian stunts, acrobats, aerialists, dancers and state-of-the-art video screen that is the size of three IMAX theaters. And even though 2.5 hours is a long time to keep them in their seats, they never got bored. My husband and I also really enjoyed the unique, artistic performance, so I’d say this is an event that your whole family will enjoy.

TICKETS – Ticket are priced from $34.50 to $149.50 + applicable taxes and fees, but be aware that many of the lower priced seating options are sold out. There are also VIP ticket packages available which include a meal in an exclusive tent alongside the White Big Top. The Rendez- Vous package prices range from $154.50 to $229.50 + applicable taxes and fees.
