Chick-fil-A Healthier Breakfast Options

The following is a sponsored post in partnership with Chick-fil-A

Last week I had the chance to attend a special media event at Chick-fil-A Seven Corners in Falls Church, VA, to taste-test the new, healthier breakfast menu being rolled out at Chick-fil-A restaurants across the D-M-V! Radio personality Chilli Amar, from 97.1 WASH FM, was our host along with the regional marketing team from Chick-fil-A and CFA Seven Corners owner Allison. Fellow bloggers and I got to sample the delicious new entrees and learn more about Chick-fil-A’s cuisine innovations.

Washington, DC happens to be a test-market for 3 new protein-packed breakfast entrées and I’m excited to share these with you!

1. Hash Brown Scramble (served as a bowl 🍲  or burrito 🌯)

This new Hash Brown Scramble entrée consists of crispy Chick-fil-A Hash Browns, scrambled eggs, Monterey Jack cheddar cheese blend, and your choice of sliced Chick-fil-A Nuggets or sausage. You have the option to order these served in a bowl or wrapped up in a burrito. I tried both with the Chick-fil-A Nuggets, and they were extremely tasty! For those interested in the caloric info: The bowl serving has 450 calories and 30 grams of protein, while the burrito contains 650 calories and 31 grams of protein.

2. Egg White Grill Bowl

This entrée is inspired by the new Egg White Grill Sandwich which rolled out in July. The bowl option allows health-conscious diners a protein-packed, yet low-carb option. Served in a bowl, this entrée contains freshly scrambled egg whites, a Monterey Jack cheddar cheese blend, and sliced grilled Chicken. The Egg White Grill Bowl contains 29 grams of protein and has 180 calories.

3. Berry Protein Blend Breakfast Smoothie

For protein smoothie fanatics, Chick-fil-A has developed a new “on-the-go” beverage packed with vitamins and protein. This breakfast beverage is made with ancient grains, chia, mixed berries and yogurt containing live and active cultures. To give it a thick and creamy texture, the smoothie is hand-spun with a portion of Icedream®, and then topped with a sweet and crunchy Honey Brown Sugar Granola.

The Berry Protein Blend beverage contains 23 grams of protein and has 340 calories.

Although I typically love anything Chick-fil-A makes with Icedream® (like their Frosted Coffee, Frosted Lemonade, and of course Hand-spun Milkshake), I have to admit that this smoothie was not my cup of tea. If you’re a protein smoothie fan, this may be to your liking, but for me the taste was a bit too protein-chalky.

These limited time breakfast entrées are a new spin on Chick-fil-A’s classic favorites, and I have to say, the Hash Brown Scramble is definitely a winner in my book! You can grab these new entrée items for a limited time, during regular breakfast hours (every morning until 10:30 am) at participating Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Washington, DC metropolitan area as well as in New York, New Jersey, San Diego, and Columbia, SC.

Wondering how long these entrées will stay around? Chick-fil-A has stated that they will evaluate customer feedback in these test markets, to determine if the new menu items are right to rollout nationwide.

Besides these 3 items, all customers nationwide can now order the Chicken Egg & Cheese breakfast sandwich on the newly added English muffin.

Break your boring breakfast routine and kick it up a notch with Chick-fil-A’s healthier, protein-packed, convenient on-the-go entrées!

These limited time breakfast entrées are available at Washington, DC area Chick-fil-A restaurants everyday until 10:30 am.
