On TV: September Freebies

Earlier this morning I stopped by the News Channel 8 studio to be a guest on Let’s Talk Live!

I enjoyed sharing some of my favorite freebies available during September. In case you missed it, here is a rundown of what I discussed!

September Freebies

Chick-fil-A Breakfast (available all month)

Love Chick-fil-A? You’ll love their free breakfast offer available this month. This national offer is available once, during September, simply by downloading the free Chick-fil-A One App on your smartphone. You’ll also be able to start earning rewards at your local Chick-fil-A restaurant by scanning the app at the register every time you place an order.

In September you will immediately get a free breakfast offer, from your choice of: Chicken Biscuit, Egg White Grill, or Hash Brown Scramble Bowl. Yum!

Additionally some DC area locations have store-specific offers and promotions. For example, Chick-fil-A Seven Corners (located at 6108c Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044) is giving away a free mystery breakfast item each Tuesday morning in September, available from 6:30 – 10:30 AM (no purchase necessary).

Moe’s Southwest Queso (Thurs. Sep. 21)

Love cheesy holidays? For the eighth year in a row, Moe’s Southwest Grill is celebrating their world famous queso by giving it away for free! On Free Queso Day (Thursday, September 21, 2017) you can get a 6 oz. cup of Moe’s Queso and warm chips absolutely free at participating locations. No purchase necessary. They also have a special hotline set up today for fans to share their “queso confessions” and the chance to win prizes. Give Moe’s experts a call on the Queso Hotline at 1-855-440-6337.

Museum Admission During Museum Day Live (Sat. Sep. 23)

Museum Day Live! is an annual celebration of boundless curiosity hosted by Smithsonian magazine. Participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket.

Get a ticket valid for FREE admission on Saturday, September 23, 2017 (for up to two people) at select museums that normally charge admission.

Here in DC some of my favorite participating museums and attractions are: The NewseumThe Kreeger Museum, The National Building Museum, and Dumbarton House.

Another great option is to plan a trip to visit Winchester, VA! You can enjoy free admission to one of the following on Museum Day Live: Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum (my kids love this place!), Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, and the Patsy Cline Historic House.

Visit the Museum Day Live website to find a list of all participating museums, and be sure you get your free ticket online (you must have this to gain free admission to the museum or cultural institution).

Some popular DC-area national parks waiving admission include: Great Falls Park, Harpers Ferry, and Fort McHenry.

And I have to mention one more popular park that is one of my favorites here in Northern VA:
Prince William Forest Park is the largest protected natural area in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region and is over 16,000 acres in size! See wildlife, go hiking or biking on trails, visit historical destinations such as Pyrite Mine, Quantico Creek, and small waterfalls. There are some fantastic National Parks in Prince William County.
