The *Free* Grocery Items I Might Be Getting This Week

I was all set to jump in the car and go to a few grocery stores today to take advantage of some great deals, but unfortunately one of my front tires was completely deflated (I must have driven over a nail yesterday?).  Even though I probably wont’ make it out of the house tonight, I wanted to let you all know about some of the free or cheap deals at the No. Va. grocery stores I was going to take advantage of today:

Free Giant brand Yogurt
Not sure the retail price, but this was a coupon that my son received from the Prince William County summer reading program.  It doesn’t expire until December, but I thought I should hurry up and use it and get my yogurt since Harris Teeter hasn’t had Super Double Coupons lately for all my $1 Dannon yogurt coupons

Free Kleenex at Safeway after coupons and catalina (catalina only good thru today Thurs. 10/29)
(3) 110-count Kleenex boxes at $0.99 each
– $0.50/3 coupon from SS 10/4/09 (doubled at most stores)
= $1.97 but you also get a $3 catalina (coupon for $3 off your next Safeway shopping trip)

Possibly free Honey Bunches of Oats Pecan Bunches at Safeway.
If HBO Pecan Bunches is a part of the HBO $1.99 sale when you buy 3 or more boxes, you can use a $2 Internet Printable Coupon from the bottom right-hand corner of the Post HBO website.  Through Nov. 1st there is a catalina deal: Buy 3, get catalina for $2 OYNO (on your next order).  Buy 4, get $3 OYNO.  Buy 5, get $4 OYNO.  I haven’t tried this deal yet to see if the Pecan Bunches variety is a part of the HBO sale, but I was able to get one $2 coupon to print per computer and was going to try this scenario:
$1.99 x 3 boxes =  $5.97
– (3) $2 IP Coupons
= FREE plus get $2 catalina

Free Swiss Miss 10-oz. Hot Cocoa Mix at Magruders with e-mail printable coupon.
Not sure of retail price (probably around $0.99 – $1.99) but if you are a member of their weekly e-mail/e-Circular list, they will mail you coupons and special offers each week.  This week happens to be free hot cocoa mix, no purchase necessary.

Depending on my car/tire situation I will probably miss out on the Giant deal that ends today (my store might already be all out the Muellers pasta anyway) and the Safeway Kleenex catalina deal, but hopefully I’ll still get to take advantage of the other deals in the next couple of days!  And hopefully you all can snag some of these great deals too!  If you know of any other too-good-to-miss deals at the grocery stores in the DC Metro area this week, please leave a comment!
