Drum roll if you please….
Spacious wide aisles, 203,000-square-feet or what I like to call “super super-sized” store, the constant buzz of shopping cart wheels rolling, smiley face rolling back the savings, full-service Dunkin’ Donuts (with a large poster advertising small $0.99 lattes – yum!), a steady stream of traffic from 6 AM – 12:00 Midnight, 7-days a week… the newest Walmart in Northern Virginia, in fact, the new Walmart Super-Center in Manassas (connected to the Manassas Mall, located at 8386 Sudley Road) is the talk of the town!
I have been to the new Walmart 3 times now since it’s grand opening almost one month ago, and feel like I can write a semi-review post on the grocery pricing.
What I love about Walmart: low prices, accept coupons
What I don’t love about Walmart: don’t double manufacturer coupons. But I do admit, with their low prices, sometimes the fact that they don’t double manufacturer coupons, doesn’t even matter. You can still get some great deals!
Here are just a few grocery items that stood out to me as I roamed the aisles with a friend last week…
- Great Value Skim Milk $2.47
- Home Bake Value Wheat (sliced) Bread, 18 oz. $0.75
- Pillsbury Moist Supreme Classic Yellow Cake Mix, 18.25 oz. $0.88
- Imperial Vegetable Spread Quarters (baking sticks, like butter) $0.58
- 1 Dozen Medium Eggs $1.33
These were just some of the low prices that caught my eye.
There are some great weekly Walmart deals plus I can use my coupons for some hefty savings in the grocery department!
Any one else have an impression to share of the new massive Walmart Super-Center in Northern VA?
