200th Harris Teeter Store opening in Northern VA

This Wednesday, October 6th, 2010 Harris Teeter is scheduled to open its 200th store nationwide! The newest location will be in the Northern VA/ Washington DC Metropolitan area located in the Hastings Marketplace shopping center at 10060 Market Circle, Manassas, VA 20110. The store will open to the public upon completion of a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 8:00 am. And the first 199 customers will receive a free reusable bag!

To celebrate its 200th store opening, the first 199 customers who shop at the store will receive a free reusable bag. The 200th Very Important Customer (VIC) card holder to purchase groceries at our store will receive $200 in Harris Teeter gift cards. The individual will be notified by phone the day following the opening and must visit the store to claim their prize.

The company will also host a variety of grand opening events on the first three weekends following the opening. On the first grand opening weekend, Harris Teeter is bringing the e-VIC Mobile to the store. During select times on Friday, October 8 through Sunday October 10, customers will have a chance to sign-up for e-VIC. e-VIC, a FREE service that notifies customers when items they regularly buy are on sale, is an extension of our Very Important Customer (VIC) card program and also provides member only discounts. The following weekend the Harris Teeter Ice Cream Truck will be at the store, and associates will distribute free Harris Teeter brand ice cream sandwiches to customers. During the last grand opening weekend event starting on Friday, October 22, the Rancher Mobile Grill will be visiting the store during select times to give away free samples of Harris Teeter Rancher Beef NY Strip Steaks.
