Over the past 3+ years of blogging here at Beltway Bargain Mom, I have really enjoyed sharing DC-area deals and connecting with so many savvy shoppers, both locally and nationally. Over the past few months I’ve moved from mainly being a “behind the scenes” frugal blogger to getting more active in the community. Since November, I’ve held a few coupon workshops and have had the opportunity to speak with local clubs and organizations to share simple savings & couponing strategies. I’m happy to announce that I’ll be offering more coupon workshops in the future, because I’m teaming up with Savings.com to join Savings Nation!
Savings Nation is a nationwide initiative to bring savings workshops to communities around the country, and providing tools, information and community support to help you save up to 50% on your weekly groceries. I’m so excited to be joining Savings Nation to help bring workshops to the Washington DC area and help share how people in our area can lead a better life on a budget is attainable because we know that There’s No Such Thing as Small Change! These workshops will cover topics such as:

- See exactly how coupons work, how you can use them to save at least 50% on your groceries, understand your stores’ policies, and keep all those awesome coupons organized!
- Strategic Grocery Shopping
- Learn how to avoid common marketing traps at the grocery store, and shop smarter!
- Meal Planning Made Simple
- Get practical help with how to plan out your menu to save the most money while providing healthy meals for your family!
Workshop attendees will receive a workbook to take lots of valuable notes during the workshop. So come prepared to learn, discuss and connect with others who are excited about saving money too!
Today I’m in sunny Santa Monica, CA attending the SaveUp 2012 with other Deal Pros, and can’t wait to unveil more about Savings Nation in the near future and start offering more workshops.
