In just a few days… September, or perhaps better called “Save-tember,” will be here! I’m happy to be teaming together with Savings.com & ValPak for some fun National Coupon Month (NCM) activities, and I hope you’ll join in on the fun! Here are some of the great events that are planned this upcoming month:
Thursday, August 30th: Launch of the Grocery Budget Makeover Contest
Kicking off just a few days before the start of September is the Grocery Budget Makeover Contest!
Do you need a coupon intervention? Starting today, fans of the Savings Nation Facebook page will have the opportunity to submit videos sharing why they need a grocery budget makeover. The videos will be voted on, and the ten with the most votes will become finalists. The Savings Nation panel of shopping experts will choose 3 of the top ten to receive a personal grocery shopping trip with a Savings Nation Ambassador, along with a gift card valued between $100 – $200. Wednesday, September 5th: Grocery Savings 101 Live Facebook Chat
At 9:00pm ET on Wednesday, September 5th, we’ll be holding a live chat on the Savings.com Facebook page on the topic of Grocery Savings 101. Be sure to “like” Savings.com and join in the live chat to learn from other couponers and savvy shoppers or perhaps share your favorite money-saving tips!
Saturday, September 8th: Grocery Savings Coupon Workshop at Beatley Branch Library in Alexandria, VA
From 10:00am – 11:30am on Saturday September 8th, 2012 I will be teaching a FREE Savings Nation “Grocery Workshop” as a part of the Beatley Branch library’s 75th anniversary activities! Monday, September 10th: Live Q&A Webcast from Valpak Headquarters
Five of my friends and fellow Savings Nation Ambassadors are heading down to Largo, Florida in a couple of weeks to meet up with Valpak and tour their ultra-cool, high-tech coupon facility. While there, they (Toni, Briana, Sara & Lauren) will be leading a live Q&A webcast! They’ll be sharing some of their best saving tips, and they’ll be taking questions live from the viewing audience. Thursday, September 20th: Go Crazy with Coupons for NCM Twitter Party
At 9:00pm ET on Thursday, September 20th, I’ll be hosting a NCM-themed Twitter party along with Tiffany @MyLitter, Sara @SistersShopping, Mitchell @FrugalFinders, @Savings & @Savings_Nation. During the party, we’ll chat about all thing savings and coupons, and there will be some stellar prizes given away. We’ll be using the hashtags #SavingsNation and #NCM12 during the party. I’ll be sharing more info on how to RSVP and join in, closer to that date.
Monday, September 24th: Savings Nation “Synchronized” Coupon Workshop
As an exciting end to NCM, 19 Savings Nation Ambassadors, including yours truly, will be teaching “synchronized” Savings Nation workshops all across the country. The bulk of the classes will be happening on the 24th, but a few more will be happening later in the week. A full list of the classes can be found here. My class will be held from 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the Fairfax County Pennino Building, 12011 Government Center Pkwy, Fairfax, VA 22035, and you can register for my FREE class here. There is limited seating, so I recommend you RSVP on the Eventbrite page to secure a seat.
