New DC Walgreens + FoodTruck + A $50 Giveaway!

This week marks the opening of the newest Walgreens store in DC, located in Chinatown!  To kickoff the grand opening of this “flagship” store, from March 17 – March 22 Walgreens has a mobile tasting tour stopped in DC, handing out free samples of some of their fresh & flavorful new products. The new store features an extensive collection of innovative fresh food offerings, products and services you wouldn’t expect from a drugstore. Plus I have a great giveaway… so keep reading!

The new Walgreens located on the Northeast corner of 7th and H Street, NW is set to open on Thursday, March 21st.  The store will be one of the first in our area to feature “Up Market: Fresh” which includes fresh-made juices and smoothies such as the “China Town Chiller” a blend of fresh strawberries, agave and lemonade (yum!). You’ll also find premium, low-fat frozen yogurts and a cafe with french roasts and barista-quality beverages. Not your typical drugstore!

Plus, this week you can be one of the first Washingtonians to try the “Up Market:Fresh” taste from their 40-foot bus in DC! The tour’s daily locations &menu items are being tweeted by @UpMarketFresh, so be sure to follow them for the latest updates! They’re scheduled to be at 10th St. NW between F Street and G Street from 10am – 2 pm this Monday, March 18 – Friday, March 22, 2013.
You’ll be able to get free samples of fresh-made juices, smoothies, frozen yogurt, fresh brewed coffees and select specialty items. And this isn’t any “normal” food truck, you can actually step on board to receive your taste!
