Last month I had the chance to visit Competitive Edge for the first time during their HarvestFest community event, and it was a great opportunity for me to check out the facility, find out more about their programs, as well as meet some of the top-notch trainers and star athletes who are excelling thanks to the programs at Competitive Edge.
Their facility encompasses over 18,400 square feet. At Competitive Edge you’ll find daily training sessions, clinics, and camps designed to help young athletes grow and develop their technique and strength. They also have membership opportunities for youth and adults wanting to hone their skills and use the gym and facility on a regular basis.
The athletic performance center has top-of-the line equipment, and energetic and knowledgable staff aimed to help athletes excel in a variety of sports. They offer core training, speed and agility training programs geared to help athletes from a wide range of sports. There are also sports specific programs and equipment to help athletes involved in: baseball, softball, football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, running, and weight training.
The Speed & Agility space includes:
- 1,300 square feet of open turf, a half basketball and mini-tennis/volleyball sport court.
- Half basketball and mini-tennis/volleyball sport court.
- Running speed lanes.
- Work-out equipment for strength, conditioning and plyometric training.
- Large weight room with free weights, kettlebells, Nautilus, and Pretor machines.
Baseball and softball players have access to seven batting cages, pitching tunnels and automatic pitching machines. As a mom of a child who just started playing baseball a year ago, I’m excited to discover an indoor batting cage that we can visit, now that the weather is getting colder. Plus I was interested to hear about their lessons and winter clinics.
If you’re looking for a venue to host your next birthday party or team sports banquet, you can also rent a room at Competitive Edge. It’s a great place for your all-star athlete to host a party with friends.
