My Harris Teeter Super Double Coupons Trip – #1 (8/26/09)

I just headed out to Harris Teeter this morning for the first day of their Super Double Coupons promotion which lasts through Tuesday, 9/1/09.

I got everything below for $1.58! (According to my receipt I saved $51.98 combining coupons and VIC card savings–does that seem expensive for only 18 items? – wow, that’s a 97% savings!  I used 18 coupons, 2 rain checks, and split up some of my transactions to take advantage of the HT policy that you can only use 1 coupon for a B1G1 Free offer, but you can buy only 1 item and get it at half price and still use 1 coupon).

And here is a picture of the coupons I intended to use before I left the house… (I ended up not using 2 of the Blue Bunny coupons because my rain check was for 2 items not 4… at the register I realized my rain check for the Blue Bunny 6 ct. ice cream cones was only for 2 boxes, not 4… even though I had 4 coupons.  Silly me for not asking for more on my rain check last month!… you’ve got to be flexible when couponing!  I always bring a “back up” group of coupons just in case they are completely out of a product I was planning to purchase or I happen to find a deal that I wasn’t expecting.  I was surprised to find that this morning the shelf was already bare for all the Men’s Pert Plus shampoos Guess I’ll have to request a rain check!)
