I noticed a flyer in the mail box and a post here from Holly’s Savings that confirmed that the Washington Post is offering a discounted rate of $0.77 per Sunday edition newspaper if you sign-up for a 26-week contract. If you missed out on the $0.59 per Sunday edition rate at the end of 2009, this new offer is still a good deal (newsstand price has supposedly gone up to $2.00).
If you are considering signing up for coupons from the Post, go here to their New Subscriber Services webpage. You will be asked to enter your zip code and then your subscription discounts (dependent upon what zip code you live in apparently) will be shown to you. This is pretty interesting; I just tried out this link to see what the current offers are (so I could accurately report it to you all) and this offer appeared for my zip code:
Yes! I want 26 weeks of Sunday home – delivery for only 59¢ a week — I’ll SAVE 61% OFF the regular newsstand rate!
That’s right, the old $0.59 per issue offer popped up! Perhaps it is a fluke, but my current offers show that you can still get the $0.59 offer if you go to this link.
Interestingly enough, when I tried going to this other New Subscriber webpage here it gave me the $0.77 per issue offer. $0.77 per issue is still a good price!
According to Holly this offer is only valid in limited locations within the Post’s 7 day home delivery area for new subscribers and those who have not been a Post subscriber for the past 30 days. Offer expires Feb. 25, 2010.
If you haven’t signed up and regretted missing out on the end of 2009 deal of $0.59 per issue, now may be the time to sign up!
Also, just to let you know, I am not affiliated with the Washington Post, I simply wanted to let you avid couponers and deal-seekers know about this deal.
