October happens to be both National Cookie Month & National Book Month!

Great American Cookies has teamed up with actress Bridget Moynahan to promote their Reading is SWEET™: 2010 National Book Drive program at participating stores across the country.

Today, Friday October 1st, 201o (10 AM – 2 PM) kicks off the Reading is SWEET book drive with a FREE Cookie Giveaway! Just visit a participating store for your free cookie. *Limit one Original Chocolate Chip Cookie per person at participating locations (which locally include the G.A.C. in Spotsylvania Mall in Fredericksburg, VA & the G.A.C. in Columbia Mall in Columbia, MD) today, Friday, October 1st from 10AM-2PM only.

And, throughout October, you can receive a FREE Cookie of Your Choice by donating a new or gently read book at your local Great American Cookies store**. All books collected at each store will be offered as a donation to a local branch of the public library or a local charity. ** Limit one cookie per person, per day at participating locations October 1-31, 2010.
