- McCormick & Schmicks – this past Sun. Nov. 7th, 2010 they had their 12th annual Veteran’s Day event and offered a FREE entrée for military veterans (sorry I’m late in posting this! Unfortunately they do not have this free Vets meal available today on Veteran’s Day Nov. 11th). There were many participating restaurants in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland.

- Krispy Kreme – FREE donut for veterans and active military personnel on Thurs. Nov. 11th, 2010. There is a press release from last year here, but I was able to confirm on the phone with the Alexandria, VA store that all DC metro Krispy Kremes are participating in this offer again this year.
- Outback Steakhouse – FREE Bloomin’ Onion and a (non-alcoholic) Beverage for military personnel who have one of the following forms of identification: U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), Veterans Organization Card (i.e., American Legion and VFW, Photograph in Uniform or Wearing Uniform) on Thurs.
