Harris Teeter is opening up its third DC grocery store location (located at Constitution Square, 1201 First Street NE, Washington, DC 20002). Tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 7th, 2010 they will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5:30pm followed by a “Taste of Teeter” until 8:00pm. At Taste of Teeter, shoppers will be able to sample a wide variety of top quality products available in our new store including Farmers Market produce, Fresh Foods Market deli and bakery items and Fishermans Market fresh seafood!

The new store is 50,000 square feet and will be open everyday from 7am – 12am. They’ll feature 8 standard check-out lanes, 4 express lanes and 5 USCAN (self-scan) lanes.

Their Pharmacy Hours will be: Monday – Friday 9am – 9pm, Saturday 9am – 7pm, Sunday 12pm – 6pm. I’m also hopeful (but have not confirmed with management yet) that as a new HT in the DC area, they’ll offer a similar promotion on pharmacy transfers/refills and HT gift cards as did the new stores in Fairfax, VA and Manassas, VA: $20 off a future grocery purchase, for new prescription/transfers at this specific HT pharmacy with the “Pharmacy Free Groceries Punch Card”. For every new/transferred prescription and subsequent refills, your VIC household will be targeted with one $20 electronic coupon to be used on your next transaction of $20 or more.
