Giant Food is celebrating its 75th anniversary and they’ll be giving out free slices of cake tonight at 6:00 pm to celebrate! The in-store cake cutting will take place tonight, Thursday February 10th, 2011 at all 179 neighborhood Giant Food locations. Customers and community members are invited to join.
Also, another fun grocery store activity planned for this Saturday, February 12th, 2011 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm is a special 3rd annual “Valentine Date Night.” Giant invites its customers to come and find out “just how romantic a supermarket can be.” All 179 neighborhood Giant locations will be participating and offering a wide range of festivities including bowling, fudge sampling, and making ice cream floats. Kids can decorate heart-shaped cookies, and there will even be a special “Lovers Lane Express Checkout” for Valentine’s Day purchases.
Husbands and boyfriends – please don’t make this a substitute for taking your Valentine out on Valentine’s Day, but please do feel free to add this as a fun activity with some free food at your local grocery store!
