Coming up this Thursday July 19th at 11 am and 1 pm, the Hylton Performing Arts Center (located at 10960 George Mason Circle, Manassas, VA 20110) has a fun musical presentation “Follow That Fiddle!“ featuring National Symphony Orchestra violinist Glenn Donnellan. Donnellan takes audiences of all ages on a journey through time to the origins of the world’s violins and fiddles, and forward to the electric violins of tomorrow. By playing various violins and fiddles from across the globe, as well as his one-of-a-kind fiddle, the Electric Slugger®, (you need to check out this awesome video here) which he created from a regulation Louisville Slugger™ baseball bat to perform at Major League Baseball games. The performance will also feature a hands-on-demonstration.

Glenn Donnellan will enthrall audiences with American fiddling, European fiddling (featuring the visually stunning Norwegian Hardanger fiddle) and the Chinese two-stringed fiddle (Ehru), while exploring the globe-spanning history of the fiddle and the violin. This engaging performance will captivate youngsters as they learn how a violin and fiddle make their sounds, watch a bow and arrow become an instrument and learn how with a little energy, a violin can rock the house! This performance is great for all ages!

Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children. You can purchase tickets by visiting the Hylton Center box office, open Wednesday through Saturday, noon-6pm. Tickets can also be purchased by calling 888-945-2468 or by visiting HyltonCenter.org. Free parking is available onsite.
