If you’re looking for something fun to do indoors, the National Geographic Museum in Washington, DC is playing Sea Monsters 3D: A Prehistoric Adventure!
My family and I got to go see the movie this past weekend and it was a lot of fun! This is only the 2nd 3D movie my kids have seen, and they loved seeing all the fish and prehistoric aquatic animals “pop” off of the screen.
Since October 6, the National Geographic Museum in DC has been showing the film “Sea Monsters 3D” in their Grosvenor Auditorium every Sunday at 1, 2 & 3 pm (and select Saturdays!). The film takes audiences on a remarkable journey into the relatively unexplored world of the “other dinosaurs,” those reptiles that lived beneath the water – perfect for a Sunday with the kids. Tickets are only $5 for the film, or you can purchase a combo ticket for $10 which includes the film + admission to museum exhibitions (usually a $6-8 fee on their own!).
The 3D film is a 40 minute-long animated documentary and will be playing at the National Geographic Museum through March 2013.
The National Geographic Museum is located at 1145 17th St Nw Washington, DC 20036 (17th & M Streets NW) and not far from metro stops Farragut North (red line) and Farragut West (blue/orange line).
And now for the fun part: National Geographic wants to offer 1 lucky Beltway Bargain Mom reader a family 4-pack of tickets to come see the movie downtown ($20 value).
