ICE! A Charlie Brown Christmas at Gaylord National

A beloved Washington, DC area holiday tradition has returned! Starting the weekend before Thanksgiving and lasting a few days into the new year, thousands of people flock to Gaylord National to see the annual ICE! attraction, festive Christmas Village, and dazzling, decked-out atrium that has become a signature seasonal draw of Gaylord Hotels.

ICE! attraction at National Harbor

ICE! at Gaylord National has become a family tradition for us! This was my family’s 7th year attending ICE! and the display is a colorful, hand-carved ice masterpiece, certain to please kids from tots to teens, and it’s pretty fun for the adults too!

This year the arctic attraction’s theme is based on the classic TV special “A Charlie Brown Christmas” by Charles M. Schulz. Join the jolly gang led by Snoopy and Charlie Brown, and relive this wholesome Peanuts classic in an interactive icy wonderland, full of whimsy and wonder.

As you walk through and view vignettes from “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” kids will be delighted  to go into Snoopy’s dog house, walk through tunnels and cool passages.

A top draw of the ICE! attraction is the area that has cool slides constructed completely out of ice! Both kids and adults enjoy sliding down the ice slides in their blue parkas.

At the end of the attraction you will find a crystal-clear, hand-carved nativity scene as well as the angel Gabriel.

Tickets to ICE! featuring A Charlie Brown Christmas are $24 for kids ages 4 to 11 years old, and $32 for adults ages 12 and older on Value Days. For general admission days, tickets cost $31 for kids and $38 for adults. Kids 3 and younger are free. Discounted tickets are available for military, teachers, AAA members, Subway customers, and Marriott Rewards Members.

New Holiday Show at Gaylord National

Cirque Dreams Unwrapped

New this year, a special 25-minute performance of the Cirque Dreams Unwrapped show takes place in the Gaylord National atrium.

Children and adults will love the production featuring fantastical Christmas dancers, contortionists, trapeze artists, human pyramids, and acrobats. The Cirque cast comes from seven countries to bring together this gravity-defying performance. For guaranteed seating, ticket prices cost $19.99 per person.

You can catch portions of the performance for free, from a distance such as near the fountain, other parts of the Gaylord National atrium, or balconies inside the resort.

Character Breakfast

Breakfast with Charlie Brown™ & Friends is your opportunity to enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet including Peanuts-themed dishes, such as Charlie Brown’s Build-Your-Own-French-Toast station with Snoopy’s Maple Syrup, Pig Pen’s Dirty Hash Browns, Lucy’s Flap Jacks and Woodstock’s Granola. You’ll get the chance to see your favorite Peanuts characters in person too! Cost is $39.99* for ages 12 and older and $26.99* for children ages 4 to 11. Children 3 and younger are free.
