*THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED* Congrats Natalya who was randomly selected as the winner! Natalya – check your inbox for an email from me. I need to hear back from you by 9:00 am Thurs. 7/12 for you to get your tickets!

My son loves the movie “How To Train Your Dragon!” Toothless and Hiccup are well-known characters in our house. My son even dons some cool HTTYD pj’s on occasion, with a cape!

Since we’re fans of the movie, our family is super excited to attend “How To Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular” at the Verizon Center in DC this month! This production was created by DreamWorks Animation, producers of the Academy Award®-nominated film, How to Train Your Dragon, and Global Creatures, the masterminds behind the international phenomenon “Walking with Dinosaurs,” the #1 grossing world tour of 2010.

The live production rolls fire-breathing action, epic adventure and heartfelt laughter into an original captivating story set in the mythical world of Vikings and wild dragons. Based on the book by Cressida Cowell, it centers around Hiccup, a Viking teenager who doesn’t fit in with his tribe’s longstanding tradition of heroic dragon slayers. Hiccup’s world is turned upside down when he encounters a dragon that challenges him and his fellow Vikings to see the world from an entirely different point of view. DreamWorks Animation and Global Creatures bring How to Train Your Dragon to life in front of a live audience for a spectacular show. To see a preview of the show, check out their video.

“How To Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular” will play at the Verizon Center in Washington DC from Thurs. July 19th – Sun. July 22nd, 2012. Regular ticket prices range from $29.50 up to $69.50 (excluding fees/taxes). A limited number of premium seats and special VIP ticket experiences and family packages are also available. You can purchase tickets online, and look up all the showtimes on their website. There are also some cool VIP packages as well, which allow you to meet the dragons and get special VIP treatment!

Plus I’m excited to extend a special offer for Beltway Bargain Mom readers!
SPECIAL OFFER: Save 25% on weekday performances (including Friday nights) by entering the code MOM in the promo box which says “MOMMY BLOG”  Get great seats for a big discount!
